The Matrix Resurrections is an epic disaster that brings back Keanu Reeves’ Neo and Carrie Ann Moss’ Trinity. After having dies in Matrix Revolutions the two are resurrected and returned to a new Matrix. They have to reconnect with each other’s reincarnation and then fight their out to freedom. This time the Matrix is even stronger.

Sounds good on paper but it’s a complete mess of a movie. They didn’t bring back Laurence Fishburne’s Morpheus, electing to have another actor play the role. Also, the same is done with the re-skinned Agent Smith as he returns. Yet, there is no Hugo Weaving.

Telling a Matrix movie without bringing back the original crew will mean total failure. As the 4th film in the franchise cannot stand up on its own two feet using nothing but understudies.

Spider-Man No Way Home exceeds one’s expectations! It is an exciting, nostalgia fueled flight to the moon and back. Picking up right after the end of Far From Home with the unmasking of Spider-Man to the world by Jake Gyllenhaal’s Mysterio as his last vicious act to frame Peter Parker as the true villain of the saga. When Parker’s friends are impacted by the revelations and denied admission to any college He pleads with Doctor Strange to weave some runes and re-write history; erasing everyone’s memories of Peter’s dual identity. The spell goes pear shaped and breaks the multiverse wide open; summoning people into our world from other dimensions that are connected to Spider-Man.

Disney Plus’ Hawkeye is the current live action show in the MCU television lineup. It came out of the gate appealing to everyday people and die hard fans’ affection for the grounded master archer. Only, to have Disney pull a boiler room pump and dump scam; convincing audiences that the show was centered around the original Jeremy Renner Hawkeye when in fact it focuses on Kate Bishop and passing the baton from Renner’s Hawkeye to her. This should have been called the Kate Bishop show and that would have set the proper expectations. But then no one would have shown up to watch the series.

This game Disney played is exactly why Hawkeye is the lowest rated series in the MCU live action family.
